A tale that began nearly 30 years ago, rooted in a profound love for artisanal baking in the heart of Los Angeles. Our journey into the world of wholesale artisan bread began with a partnership with the iconic Santa Monica restaurant, La Scala. This venture was a leap of faith, grounded in the belief that quality, handcrafted bread could transform the dining experience.
As word of our artisan bread spread across Southern California, so did our ambitions. In 2007, we achieved a significant milestone by opening a new bakery in Inglewood. Here, we discovered more than a space for baking; we found a community eager to embrace our freshly made bread. This enabled us to elevate our sourdough breads with thoughtfully sourced flour and organic ingredients. Our continuous commitment to quality led us to incorporate flour from Cairnspring Mills - a stone-milled grain grown on local farms, favored by some of the top artisan bakeries in the Pacific Northwest and California.
Our journey has always been about connection and community. From the warm, crusty loaves once savored at La Scala to the diverse range of artisan breads we now supply across Southern California grocery stores, each loaf is a testament to our dedication to excellent bread and our robust Cadoro team.
In 2022, we embarked on an exciting new chapter with the opening of the Cafe Window. This venture brought us closer to our Cadoro Community, offering a menu that showcases our bread in the most delightful ways. It's also our testing ground for new products, keeping you at the forefront of our latest creations.
Today, as experts in sourdough, ciabatta, and other artisan breads, Cadoro Bakery proudly upholds its wholesale legacy. While our presence at the Santa Monica Farmers Market is a thing of the past, our bond with the community endures. We are passionate about serving our freshly baked breads, breakfast, and lunch items directly to our beloved customers, and we remain committed to collaborating with our wholesale partners in Los Angeles to create bread that perfectly complements their offerings.
